Korg will be offering cool gear clinics on music production, sound design, mastering, and more in the Music Gear Classroom sponsored by Korg!
These great clinics will be happening Wednesday through Saturday, March 14th-17th and are FREE and open to the public:

Thursday 3/15: Korg Musician Clinic from 4pm – 6pm hosted by Jae Deal and featuring Trevor Wesley

Friday 3/16: Korg Musician Clinic from 12pm – 2pm hosted by Jae Deal and featuring Edward “Eddie” Brown

 

Saturday 3/17: Korg Presents FuseFrequency

KORG ANNOUNCES THEIR SXSW SHOWCASE AND MUSICIANS CLINIC

/Fuse Frequency Presented By Korg is a Unique Soundscape Experience Fueled

by World Class Musicians and Emerging Talent

If you’re heading down to Austin this week for the highly anticipated, multimedia SXSW festival, you will want to make time in your schedule to enjoy Korg’s layout of events including 2 musician clinics and an unparalleled afternoon artist showcase. Korg today announced that they will be holding musician clinics in the Austin Convention Center on March 15th and 16th, culminated on March 17th by their /Fuse Frequency showcase at Cielo, located at 505 Neches St. in Austin.

“Korg is always looking for new and innovative ways to contribute to the music industry’s creative community,” said Evan O’Brien, Korg Entertainment Relations Manager “With /Fuse Frequency we are able to provide a multifaceted music experience with influential and buzz worthy talent that we not only support but recognize as the top talent of tomorrow.”

This event is open to the public and will begin at 1pm. It will featurelive performances by Idle Warship (Talib Kweli + Res), Dawn Richard, Schoolboy Q, J*DaVeY, Trevor Wesley, Cool Roy and 9th Wonder with Terrace Martin. There will be a special debut performance by REDi. Sounds provided by Meka (2DopeBoyz).

The /FuseFrequency band will include Jae Deal (Janet Jackson, Ne-Yo, and Snoop Dogg), Mike Moore (Kid Cudi, Jamie Foxx, Bun B), Chuck Gipson (Tyrese, Sean Kingston) and musical phenomenon Eddie Brown on the piano and organ.

The Clinic portion of this Korg sponsored 3 day experience has been designed to work in conjunction with local schools and retailers, providing music lovers and aspiring musicians within the community an opportunity to interact directly with the world’s top musicians and see how Korg products are integrated into some of the largest stages on earth. The clinics will be held on March 15th from 4-6pm and March 16th from 12–2pm. Both educational programs will feature product demonstrations followed by Q&A sessions with the musicians. Korg artist and world renowned musician, Jae Deal, is the clinic host and will be accompanied by artist/ producer/musician, Trevor Wesley, as well as musical genius Edward “Eddie” Brown.

Every year thousands of bands, artists and other music industry elite and notables gather to get a glimpse of the latest trends in music. /FuseFrequency, will showcase every element of the live performance from the lighting to the instruments to the mic. /FuseFrequency provides an atmosphere that transcends genres via world-class musicianship in synergy with world-class DJs.

In 2011 SXSW had over 100,000 attendees, 49,126 total registrants, 16,353 for the music aspect in particular, 6,990 media members and over 92 stages. The future of media, artists and interactivity is defined at SXSW. Take a stand at this unique exhibition to connect with leaders in the music industry.
