Canadian jazz pianist and composer, Sean Nimmons brings his quintet back to The Jazz Bistro on Thursday, June 11th. The Sean Nimmons Quintet will play new music for his upcoming album “Inner Onwards”. The quintet features Canada jazz greats Mike Murley (tenor saxophone), Kevin Turcotte (trumpet), Dan Fortin (bass), and Ethan Ardelli (drums).

Last summer, Sean performed at Massey Hall in “Oscar Peterson at 100: A Canadian Celebration” as one of the next generation of musicians who were inspired by Oscar Peterson.

A composer, producer and musician whose works are heard around the world in film and TV, Sean Nimmons is known in the jazz scene for producing two acclaimed albums that paid tribute to his grandfather, Phil Nimmons. To The Nth – Volume 1 was released in 2020 and Generational – Volume 2 was released in 2023. Both albums include arrangements of Phil’s music and Sean’s own compositions.
