Collaboraction Theatre Company is fully activated in its new home at Humboldt Park’s Kimball Arts Center, and this Saturday, June 20, the company opens the doors for Belonging Bash, an all-day indoor-outdoor celebration where Humboldt Park meets Logan Square.

The day brings together food, drinks, DJs, live performances, youth programming and community, all in support of Collaboraction’s new House of Belonging and its summer youth program, The Light.

The celebration begins with a family-friendly outdoor block party in Collaboraction’s parking lot, then moves into an evening of live music, DJs and community gathering inside the company’s new House of Belonging.

The afternoon features DJ Dreea’s Kiddie Disco, Collaboraction’s The Light Youth Ensemble featuring Lucy, Chicago’s new Youth Poet Laureate, The Happiness Club, Yuri “The Human Beatbox” Lane, The Black Puppet Show, The Luminaries, Bilingual Improv School and Linda Sol.

Sunset Jams + Evening Celebration

As the day moves into evening, the lineup continues with Zion Ali with DJ Dreea, Vitti Girl, Dance Loud, DJ Lady D and DJs Larry Miller and Craig Elliott.

The night culminates with The Corey Wilkes Quartet joined by Meagan McNeal, known for Lyric Opera’s Safronia and NBC’s The Voice, followed by a closing DJ set with Larry Miller and Craig Elliott.

Support Chicago Youth + Collaboraction’s Future

Belonging Bash supports Collaboraction’s new House of Belonging and its summer youth program, The Light, helping fund the company’s next chapter while uplifting Chicago youth, independent artists and community-centered programming.

Collaboraction’s new home in the Kimball Arts Center features a 4,000-square-foot space with a 99-seat flexible studio theater and a 50-seat cabaret with cafe and bar.
